This 3 of March embassy visits could be as simple as delivering a letter to the ambassador calling for the protection of the whole of the Bialowieza Forest as a national park and/or meeting with consular staff detailing your concerns about the forest. Or they could include also a protest and press conference outside the embassy with banners, leafletting people entering the embassy.

Rainforest Information Centre crew will be holding banners outside the Polish Embassies in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane and helping organise events at other Polish Embassies, consulates and legations throughout the world. In Canberra for example, journalism students will film a 10 second shot of Bob Brown walking past the brass sign saying "Embassy of Poland", past demonstrators with a banner saying "Save Bialowieza Forest - Ratujmy Puszcze Bialowieska!" This film will be emailed to Poland for the news that evening.

We are also encouraging as many people as possible to email or write to the Polish president about the issue. On the 3 of March, events are planned in Poland of course and also in Slovakia, Germany, The Netherlands, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Korea, Uganda, Romania, Canada, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Finland, USA, England, Ireland and Australia. We are presently contacting forest activists in many other countries and inviting them to join us.
